I really like this foundation. The coverage is amazing, shade is perfect for me and it photographs well. The only reason it is not a 5 star is that application is time consuming and only works 1 way.
This I can only use if I have alot of time, which is not most mornings. With other foundations I moisurise and then apply foundation with my fingers, then bounce a beauty blender over to smooth it out before powdering. You cannot do that with this foundation. I am a qualified make up artist so know all of the techniques and there is only 1 way to apply this without looking cakey and dry.
After moisturizing you need to wait a few minutes to really sink in. I usually skip primer but this foundation will not allow that so you need to prime well aftermoisturizing. If you dont have primer use sunscreen.
To avoid looking cakey, but still get great coverage, you need to start at the nose and use a stippling brush. I think the one I use is by ELF.
Only put this foundation on the area you are working on as it sets extreamly fast. Start on your nose and slowly move outwards. I do mine in the order of nose - Forehead - eyelids - under my eyes - cheeks - upper lip and chin.
You can not layer this foundation so make sure you blend the area you are working on really well in circular motions. Once you have blended that area bounce the skin with a damp beauty blender and then start the next area Working from the centre of your face outwards. You can then powder off.
The fact you need to use the blender and the stippling brush at the same adds to the time already taken in the extra prep which means I dont use it most days.
If you have the time then this is amazing stuff, if you dont like spending alot of time on your face like me then dont buy it as applying it any otherway results in cake-face.
