The smell isn't great but it works. It's also much quicker and works better than making most of the diy traps.

This did nothing. Not one fly caught and I bought 6. Disappointed!

I usually make my own concoction of vinegar and dish soap but thought I'd give Flypunch a try. SO glad I did!! The fruit flies hanging around my countertop compost bin were completely gone within 24 hours! (Well, not gone -- they were in the jar, but DEAD! hehe) I will keep a jar of this on hand for every summer.

First day it wasn't effective only one fly went in and the reason behind it is that I was trying to catch them while I'm feeding my birds fresh fruits and vegetable ! So to get the best result try to minimize the flies temptations and You will see they are all in the jar ! Positive: - natural - safe to use around my birds ( as long as they don't deal with what's inside ) - no huge papers or anything that drives attention to guest eyes. Negative : - no refills available which means more plastic waste - last only 2 weeks ( as mentioned in the container ) this is day 4 and I'm happy - if you have ripe banana and this most likely you won't be successful but if no other temptations. Your catch is going to be effective

It's best to open the lid only when you're using it, as the scent will spill into the room when you open it.
