I wanted to love this as just a basic moisturizer but I didn't care for it at all. I don't know if the formula changed but it didn't absorb well, wasn't hydrating and left my skin feeling tacky most of the night. I would not recommend this.

I used this as a teen in the USA. My Japanese mother also used it while raising us in the USA. Seems like the old classic. I checked the lot number online and its fresh. When I opened the bottle, it looked like all kinds of little hair on the too (maybe its from the black cap?), so minus one star, looked a bit nasty.
